Another couple of strange weird days have happened. Well not that bad. Saturday morning at 9:30am my Mum rocks up on the doorstep and tells Sooki to get up if she wants her birthday present (her birthday is this Friday coming). Sooki gets up and off they go and I spend the time alone finishing of redz visuals (more on that later).

An hour or so later they turn up with two kittens in tow. Both from the same litter, with a male and a female. The male called “Wolf” as he looks like a cat huskie and is very chilled for the most part. The female; white, black and orange is a bit of a spaz. We have called her “Yumi”. Both are cute and fluffy, with enough fur to cause me to sneeze incessantly. They are 8 weeks old, and still very bouncy, I want a fat lazy cat. I wonder how long until that happens to these two. So I have become house-bitch/kitten warden. Today I have tried to get work done, but I am constantly having to stop them from clawing the couch and chairs or getting into electrical stuff. So lots of fun ahead in kitten rearing.

The redz visuals where finished Saturday afternoon. I tried to finish them for Friday night but the bloody MPEG2 encoder wouldn’t work correctly. I downloaded a couple of different ones, and finally about 11pm got one to work. Then I set about encoding the rest of the visuals. I have created menus and everything. Took it into Redz Saturday night and put it on. They loved it. Now we need to sell some visuals to businesses and make more money :-)

Also got the together at home flyers, and they look good. Loving the design work coming in.

Yesterday was interesting. I had lunch with Sooki in town did general work on sites, visuals and installing my new burner (grin). Ran into Southern Cross Country owner and family on my way into town. Phone calls from uni about their website. Made the day somewhat full on. The interesting bit happened in the afternoon.

Sooki can home at 5:30pm and didn’t notice anything strange around the house. I left to goto hardly normal to get a refund on some dvd-r’s I brought and where subsequently told don’t use with my burner, and my car doors where unlocked. I thought to myself, how long have they been unlocked for since I hadn’t drove my car in 2 days. With closer inspection I noticed the glove box open and my ashtray out with the garbage all over the car floor. I realized my car had been broken into. Sorta strange, I did a check for anything missing or damage, etc. Nothing I could pick, but maybe my parents house keys (no name on them) where taken. I wasn’t even that phased about it. I suppose that it was going to happen sometime. I then drove to get the refund, came home picked Sooki up and went shopping for tea.

Later I rang Dad to tell him about it and he told me to report it to the police just so they know. I did that and they sent a Constable Hartman to the house about 9:20 just as Sooki, Toon and I where jumping into the car to goto the martix 3. Had a chat, he didn’t take finger prints because of the state of my unclean car. There isn’t much garbage or anything, just not washed. He put in a report and then we sped (at 50km/h) to the cinema and just made it on time (9:30 start).

Matrix was cool, still simple story but lots of cool action sequences. Overall enjoyable, the end track on the credits rocked. It once again rip of heaps of anime, old films and books, but thats cool. I feel it just another star wars for this generation. Cool effects, bugger all story and insane action sequences and fun to revisit every now and again.

Woho! It is here.. the DVD Burner that is. Already burnt my first test, worked a treat. Now I just got to get some descent menu software. Might have to investigate a bit :-)

Now I just got to finish the chilli and ghostline visual animations and burn the disc for Saturday night.

Thanks Mr. Australian Express Driver Guy for waking me up with my funky new hardware in hand.

Also patched my iBook so it can now do multiple screen spanning. I now need another monitor. This mean I just going to have to work harder and get these contract out, and the money in.
