Well I have ordered the DVD Burner.. woho.. hopefully be here tomorrow with 20 shiny rewritables.

I have also set up toon’s website on your home server. It the after 12 site at: http://after12.cjb.net

Not much there yet, but hopefully Toon will get off his arse and do something about it… maybe

I have also discovered that I have missed two parts of the Southern Cross Country Admin.. Damn, Damn, ARRRRR!!!! More work. At least they ain’t vital.

I am loving panther goodies, but I am hating some of the software that now doesn’t work with it. My fancy new scanner is one of them… grrrr.. Also my graphics tablet. It’s just plain annoying.

Watched Philadelphia Story today at film soc. Was very funny for an old black and white film. Not to say they can’t, I’m just not one for melodramas.

Matrix Revolutions opens tonight… ummm, want to see it, but I have no excitment in me about it at all. I’m just going to see it to complete the series.

Also I am now sad to say I have lost all respect for Dolby (ie. suround sound etc) as a company. I never had a bad work to say about them, I like the technology (even thou I love DTS over Digital), but it get grates me to find out that they basically stole the technology from the clear guy who invented it: Go read about it at here. It just makes me think microsoft (don’t get me started). But I’ll continue using the technology etc, just wish I could give something back to the real inventor, not just some backstabbing arseholes.

Ho I love the way my mac thinks the word “arse” is a spelling mistake. I don’t care, My dictonary says it is write. I don’t like spelling it “ass”, as that is a horse-donkey cross thingy animal.

Well I better get some work done as per usual.

Well I seem to be getting slower in my posts. Nothing surprising really if you know me.

Anyway, lots have been happening in the last 2 weeks.

To start with I have “almost” finished Southern Cross Country. I have been a busy little moose writing code for hours upon hours a day to finish this project. I have it all working, shopping cart and checkout and all the other little bits. Just got to put in a few more functions and all is good. So that is where I have been for 2 weeks.

I also have almost finished ELC website. A couple of clean up jobs needed and that will be going up to. As you can see, I have been busy.

Alan (my brother), Lauch, Sooki and myself went to the Travelling Melbourne Film Festival at CMAX in Devonport. We saw Metropolis (1927) in it’s digitally restored and re-recorded score. Man how did I miss this classic for so long. It rocked, better than many films that come out today and it was SILENT! I was so impressed, ranted about it for a week. We also saw “A Mighty Wind”, very cool and funny mockumentrary on folk music. Well worth watching for anyone with a good sense of humor and has any interest in music.

I have done a few jobs for Clint and Redz, posters, flyers stickers etc. Learning Illustrator fairly fast. I finally got a version for my mac, YIPPEE! I am really happy with the results so far, except the stickers, they are way too dull. We didn’t get a proof so we couldn’t tell until they where printed. Clint isn’t happy with them not giving him a proof (in colour mind you), so we are going to get a reprint. The quality of the image, etc is great thou.

Has everyone seen my big fuck-off green A2 posters for together at home. Simple and awesome. I am so happy with them, makes me giggle every time I look at my copy.

Well I have done some visuals for Redz, FreshDisko, Redz Banner, together at home ad, PINK are done. Now I have to finish CHILLI and my own and all is set for getting my burner.

I unrelated new.. go and check out: Alien VS. Predator Movie. I found it today, it looks well wicked!

I have installed Panther on my mac, 3 times now in the space of 2 days. I tried the upgrade install to see how it worked. It didn’t, half the apps dies including their new ones installed. So I did the format thing and reinstalled. All went well, but the next day safari and anything related to the webcore framework went stupid, so I did an archieve install today and it fixed everything, with the exception of php, mysql, apache2, but that cool, took me 15 minutes to re-install and configure. All is once again good and I now have fast-user switching (create a sooki account) and expose which is AWESOME!

Just finished watching a british film called Dog Soliders. If you love horror, watch it. Bloody cool! and Bloody being the word. And as an after thought, also saw Kill Bill the night of it’s release. I loved that film, I had a smile the whole time. It is great to see so much classy over-the-top violence on the big screen. I love all the homages, I must see it again. Toon came with us (Sooki, Damien and I) to see it, but no ID, no entry. So he went home and got in for free the next night with Collins.

Well that is the brief update and now back to work.
